But her happiness is clouded by the fact that her parents' marriage is on the brink of collapse. Sarah secretly falls in love with the handsome Swede Erik Wylander, unaware that he is also her mother Inge's lover. Unaware that they share a lover, mother and daughter travel to Stockholm. Inge wants to finally decide on the future of her marriage, and Sarah can hardly wait to see Erik again. When Inge unsuspectingly asks Erik to take care of Sarah, and Erik confesses his love for her to her mother, disaster strikes.
