Major artists having crossed time thanks to their paintings, the great painters knew how to testify of their time through the works which made their fame. Often misunderstood by their peers, burdened by the critics and the Academy, they are the creators of modern artistic currents that have revolutionized the history of art and remain, even today, fascinating subjects of study. This documentary series looks at the career of each of these exceptional artists.
